For Families and Visitors

Family and Visitor Hours

Guidelines for the participation of family and visitors are flexible to respond to changing needs and preferences of each patient. Family members and visitors should coordinate visits with the patient or designated family representative and the primary nurse.

Visiting in the Intensive Care Units is restricted to family. Quiet time is observed from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm. To promote the best healing environment, we ask family and visitors to allow the patient to rest during this time. At the change of nursing shift, 6:30 am - 7:30 am and 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm, we ask family members to minimize traffic in and out of the patient's room. This will help reduce interruptions and increase the accuracy of information shared.
